CLIFTON CHASE Clifton Chase, 47, husband of Freda (Elston) Chase, died suddenly Friday afternoon at his home in Dexter. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Sept. 7, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter with the Rev. Gordon F. Parlin of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Clinton. He was born at Winslow, April 22, 1917, son of the late Edward Chase of Dexter and Mrs. Myrtle (Wyman) Chase of Clinton. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the European-African Theatre. At one time, he engaged in the dry cleaning business at Dexter and more recently had been employed in the local mills. Besides his widow, Freda, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Chase of Clinton; two daughters, Charlotte and Charlene; two sons, Edward and Dwayne Chase, all of Dexter; and a sister, Mrs. Anita Genge of Arlington, Mass.
