MRS. MARY CHURCHILL Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Churchill, 73, widow of Arthur R. Churchill, were held this morning (Thursday) at the Crosby - Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. George Briggs of the Pittsfield Universalist Church oficiating. Mrs. Churchill died early Tuesday morning at the Plummer Mernorial Hospita1 after being taken ill suddenly art her home. She was born in Saco, Feb. 19, 1899, the daughter of Charles H. and Henrietta Peyser Shorey. She was educated in Corinna schools, graduating in 1917 from Corinna Union Academy. She had made her home Dexter since 1945. She was a 50-year member of Cleora Rebekah Lodge, Corinna, of which she was a past Noble Grand. She was also a past district deputy president of District 19. Surviving are two nephews, Keith Shorey of Newport and Richard Shorey, Decateur, Ill; two nieces, Mrs. Edmund (Elaine) Marois, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Howard (Phyllis) Plummer, North Bellingham, Mass. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
