CLIFTON F. COOLEY Clifton F. Cooley, 47, died Nov. 15 while at work at the Observer Publishing Company. He was born in Dexter, June 20, 1925, the son of Chester and Hattie (Mountain) Cooley. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Stott-Flanders American Legion Post in Sangerville and was employed as a constable by the town. Surviving are his father, Chester, Cooley of Bangor; his wife, Mrs. Esther (Perkins) Cooley of Sangerville; two sons, Clifton, Jr., of Sangerville and Richard of Fort Hancock, N. J.; one step-son Darrell Stewart of Kennebunkport; one step-daughter, Mrs. Richard Drew of Abbot; one brother Charles of St. Albans; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Military committal services by the American Post were held at the Dover-Foxcroft Cemetery.
