HOLLIS I. MAYNARD Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Crosby funeral home, by the Rev. Samuel A. Bowman, pastor of the Dexter Methodist Church, for Hollis I. Maynard, 49. Mr. Maynard died suddenly Saturday at his home after several months of ill health. Bearers were: Robert Shaw, Clarence Beverly, Marshall Phinney, Francis Thomas, Elmer Seavey, Elizabeth (Garnett) Maynard. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (Bush) Maynard; two daughters, Mrs. Merle Dubay of Dexter, Miss Rowena Maynard of Worcester, Mass.; two sons, Ervin A., a junior at the University of Maine, and James of Dexter; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Maynard Whitney of Jonesboro; two brothers, Philip of Newport and Alden of Portland. Born May 2, 1900 in Machias, he was the son of the late Emery and Jack Clark. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
