FREDERICK W. GREENE, SR. Frederick W. Greene, Sr., of Holyoke, Mass., a former resident of Dexter, died June 5 in Wesson Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Mass. He was born in Oxford, Mass., son of the late Welford and Ellen (Plouffe) Greene, and was educated in Oxford schools. Mr. Greene was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Plymouth Lodge F. & A M, Dexter, Knights Templar of Maine and Anah Shrine Temple, Bangor. Besides his wife, Mrs. Aurora (Alsten) Greene, he leaves two sons Frederick Green, Jr. of Holyoke, Mass., and Delbert Greene of Worcester, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Seavey of South Hadley Falls, Mass., and Mrs. Dorothy Crouse of Dexter; a sister Etta of Worcester, Mass.; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in Holyoke, at the John B. Shea funeral home Saturday morning. The Rev. Dr. Oliver K. Black of the Second Congregational Church officiated. Members of the Mt. Tom Lodge of Masons conducted Masonic services Friday evening. Burial was in Forestdale Cemetery Holyoke.
